CONVERSATION STARTER:  Do
you think smoking should be banned in public areas such as playgrounds, athletic facilities, parks, as well as restaurants
and bars?  Should smokers be permitted to light up in the cars, regardless of who is riding with them?

What your asking, to me, has no definate answer. If you want to ban smoking in public places? Fine. If you want to ban smoking in a car with kids under 18 in the car? Fine. *Although that's a moral one should have anyway.... But I have a huge problem with anyone coming into my "kitchen" and telling me what I am going to do. So, I have to ask where it stops. How long before we allow big brother to legislate every aspect of our lives? Or more than "he" does now? The health concerns? I'd be very niave to suggest that smoking won't hurt you. But I had an aunt that died last year with lung cancer. NEVER touched a cigarette in her life, nor was she near anyone that did. But if you do smoke, get cancer, don't come crying to me. You made your own bed. If you smoke around your baby, and the baby gets sick from your second hand smoke, you deserve to rot in jail. That being said, an ounce of prevention in worth a pound of cure, but let me prevent, not the government.
